Named after the legendary nemesis of the Lone Ranger, “Butch Cavendish” is an ongoing Insurgent Country project from Poteau, OK native David Carbrey. After 10+ years of hustle and bustle in L.A., Carbrey was inspired by the peaceful wilderness and starry skies of the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree, where he marinated his concept of classic country (Cash, Haggard, Parsons) fused with Americana (Wilco, Ryan Adams, Old 97’s).

He eventually landed in Colorado Springs and formed “Butch” there, but ultimately ended up “franchising’ the band with a different lineup in Dallas, TX, and yet again after returning back home to OK. The band's debut release is entitled “Dead Horse to Nowhere” and can be found everywhere you might find drinkin’, cussin’ & fightin’ music for purchase!
